Skylarking is the story of personal will, and how a single mistake can lead to a life seasoned by adversity or one subsumed by regret. Lando Thelwell has been on autopilot for years, eking out a living as radiation technician and other menial jobs, just to survive in New York. Carrying the promise his family imbued within him when they insisted he emigrate to the US, he faces a life, eight years later, that hasn’t added up to expectations. He finds himself grappling with a purpose without his family and emotional connection. One day, his life changes, when a loose end he never bothered tying up, entraps him. In a moment, he is returned to his family, his home, and his country, Jamaica, the land his family worked so hard for him to escape. The life and the corruption he once knew is now much worse and he must choose how to confront it as his life is transformed.
